Summer 1944. Switzerland has been surrounded by the fascist Axis powers for four years. In the west, south, east, and in the air, the Allied liberators are advancing. Not all of them make it through 166 damaged American bombers seek refuge in neutral Switzerland. However, Switzerland does not let the crews leave: the airmen are interned in the mountains, where they are torn between thoughts of escape, friendships, and romantic relationships.
