B-17 F-95-BO, Serial Nr: 42- 30233, Marking: QW-V, Nik Name: Rhapsody in Flak from the 8th Airforce, 95th Bomb Group, 336th Squadron. (B-17 emergency landing Altenrhein 13.4.1944)

B-17G-50-VE, Serail, No :44-8187, Marking I, from the 15th Airforce, 99th Bomb Group, 346th Squadron. (B-17 Emergency Landing Dübendorf 27.2.1945)

B-17F-105-BO, Serail, No :42-30478, Marking: L, from the 8th Airforce, 388th Bomb Group, 560th Squadron. (B-17F emergency landing Dübendorf 6.9.1943)

B-17G-35-DL, Serail, No :42-107021, Marking: L, from 8th Airforce, 447th Bomb Group, 710th Squadron, was flown to Dübendorf by Joseph Thornbury on 13.04.1944 and selected for instructional service. (B-17G Emergency Landing Dübendorf 13.4.1944)

The B-17G-50-VE, Serail No :41-28583, Marking: S, from the 15th Airforce, 463rd Bomb Group, 773rd Squadron. Received the red and white neutrality stripes on wing and wings in addition to the Swiss crosses on December 23, 1944 for the ferry flight from Altenrhein to Dübendorf. (B-17G emergency landing Altenrhein 9.12.1944)

B-17G-30-DL, Serial No: 42-38204, Marking: PU-H from the 8th Airforce, 303rd Bomb Group, 358th Squadron landed at Geneva-Cointrin on April 24, 1944 with heavy damage. Although the aircraft was flown over to Dübendorf by Colonel Högger and Constable Schraner on July 13, 1945, the USAAF decided against a return flight, after which the aircraft was scrapped in Switzerland. B-24 Liberator:

B-24H-1-DT, Serail Nr :41-28583, Marking: IG-F, Nik Name: "Rum Runner" From 8th Airforce, 448th Bomb Group, 713th Squadron. (B-24H emergency landing Dübendorf 25.04.1944)

B-24H-1-DT, Serail No :42-64496, Marking: H6X, Nik Name: "Borsuk's Bitch" From 8th Airforce, 453rd Bomb Group, 735th Squadron. 1st Lt. Louis Scherzer landed at Dübendorf, for the test flights the B-24 bomber received Swiss markings. (B-24H emergency landing Dübendorf 25.04.1944)

B24G-17-NT, Serail No :42-78439, Marking: 39, from the 15th Airforce, 484th Bomb Group, 735th Squadron, Harry Schultz flew this B24G to Dübendorf on August 3, 1944. For the flight, the undamaged B-24 bomber was stripped of all insignia and group markings. (B-24G emergency landing Dübendorf 03.08.1944)

B-24J-20-FO, Serail No: 44-48775, Marking: 47, from the 15th Airforce, 455th Bomb Group, 742nd Squadron. During the ferry flight from Altenrhein to Dübendorf, shortly before landing, a Flab unit stationed at Effretikon had targeted the bomber, with impacts recorded just behind the pilot's seat. P-51 Mustang:

P-51B, Serial No: 42 -106438, Marking: WD-U, from the 8th Airforce, 4th Fighter Group, 335th Squadron. (P-51B emergency landing Ems 19.07.1944)

The last flight of an American bomber with Swiss markings was made on September 5, 1945, when Colonel Högger and Constable Schraner flew over B-17F-25-VE 42-5841 "Est Nulla Via in Via Virtuti" from its base at Emmen to Dübendorf.
